I'm an investor in W3W and a fan but there is a flaw to this example. The better integration with Nav tools is a game changer but even better if you can persuade Google Maps to let me enter a w3w address directly. And also allow me to enter it on my contact file on my android phone and my Google calendar. (other brands are available). If I am going somewhere new in the future I will enter the details in my calendar, neter the address in the calendar entry, then I or my passenger just have to touch the location in my calendar and start directions, often only for the last few miles. If i knew where the entrance for the building, or the car park or whatever was, I could drop a pin there to start with. Usually google Maps takes you to the entrance anyway. I can't recall a recent time when it didn't. Most addresses give you the street of their entrance, or the post wouldn't get delivered and new customers would get irritated.

This ignores the fact that you can long-press anywhere on Google Maps, and get directions to that specific point. You also get the latitude and longitude of that point, coordinates which are the universally recognised, and which can be given to friends - or, if necessary, to emergency services. What's more, after long-pressing on a point on Google Maps, you get the point's address also in plus codes. Plus codes give a precise short address to every point on the globe; and, unlike What3Words, they are systematic, such that nearby points have similar codes. What3Words is cute; I have the app, and I play with it sometimes. But it is purely a game. There is absolutely no use case for which What3Words is superior to lat/long and plus codes.

...i used to live on church road, what do you know about me.?

Maybe I'm not following the instructions properly but I've tried this app several times and always end up in the wrong place. Sometimes several miles from where I know I am. Here is an example....I go to a location and note the 3 words, when I get home I cross reference the w3w with Google Maps on my computer and it is always the wrong place, ALWAYS.

I have tried using W3 app many times. You need to calibrate in order to get the closest three words address, meaning by just opening the app, you will not be able to the closest address as W3 is using either Google map or Apple map and the accuracy is about 5 to 10 meters.
